(Washington, D.C.)—Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), a senior member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee, applauded the U.S. Department of Transportation’s announcement that Felts Field in Spokane will receive a $3.6 million federal grant to construct and rehabilitate taxiways at the airport.
“This is great news for Spokane families, small business owners, and communities who depend on safe, reliable airports to connect our cities as air traffic continues to increase,” said Senator Patty Murray. "This project will help improve the airport’s ability to serve critical air traffic coming in and out of Spokane.”
The grant amount comes to $3,603,469.00, and was announced on Tuesday.
