Murray Announces Over $1.4 Million for Tukwila Transit

Grants will support construction, infrastructure improvements at Longacres

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-Wash.) today announced $1,486,961 in federal grant money for the Tukwila Longacres Station.

The grants, provided by the US Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration, which is funded by Senator Murray's Transportation spending bill, will be used to support construction and key infrastructure improvements to attract business and facilitate future transit-oriented development projects in the region.

"I am pleased to announce this federal grant money for the Tukwila Longacres Station Area," Senator Murray said. "By investing in the critical infrastructure improvements, we are investing in economic growth for the future of our region."
