(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced that the Clark County Public Transportation Benefit Area Authority will receive $2 million from the Department of Transportation’s State of Good Repair grant program.  This funding will go towards the purchase of six new buses.

“I am so pleased that the Department of Transportation is providing this critical support for Clark County transportation,” Senator Murray said. “This is an important investment in our state’s transportation system, and it will make a difference for commuters in Clark County.”

The State of Good Repair grant program was created in FY 2010 to support reinvestment in bus fleets and bus facilities.  More about the program HERE
