"Today President Bush picked up his veto pen and told millions of struggling American seniors who rely on Medicare that he simply doesn’t care. The President is wrong.
"Seniors who have paid into the system their entire lives shouldn’t be left worrying about seeing a doctor. And doctors shouldn’t have to choose between treating patients and staying in business.
"I will continue to stand with Washington state seniors and doctors and vote to override the President’s short-sighted and politically motivated veto."
