“I am deeply disturbed by these allegations of waste and misuse of funds within the Department of Veterans Affairs. If these reports are true, the employees responsible must be held accountable and the VA needs to figure out what went wrong and make sure it never happens again. Waste of taxpayer money is unacceptable, but it is especially egregious when it was intended to be used to support and care for our veterans. I will be monitoring this issue closely as the investigation continues.”
