PLAN B: Murray Statement on FDA Approval of Plan B for All Ages

Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) released the following statement after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced it has approved the over-the-counter use of Plan B One-Step for all women of child-bearing age:

“After working on this issue for almost two decades, I am so proud to finally see science prevail and this essential part of women’s basic health care become available to women of all ages. Plan B is a safe and effective method of preventing unintended pregnancies and today’s announcement ensures critical access for millions of women across America.”
